Basement deodorizer?

I recently had a central air and heat system installed in my basement and I find the system is sucking up an odor which is damp and musty. What can I use to get rid of the scent?

Basement deodorizer?
I found an absorbent at Home Depot that actually works. It%26#039;s a bag that contains small rocks that absorb smells.
Reply:get alpine air cleaner, they get rid of all orders mold ,smoke ,all orders. and you never have to change filters.make sure you use a alpine i have one it%26#039;s great.thanks .vman207
Reply:maybe check with the contractor to see if everything was installed properly.......should not be that way.

Or there is something wrong in your basement.....a leak or something..maybe your basement has had recent floodings ?

Badly installed windows......could be a number of things.

I don%26#039;t have this problem but that is what I would do if I did.

PS : agree with the first answerer but ....if your basement is secure, you should not experience any bad smell..
