What is the best deodorizer for wastewater considering the large tank, economical and not harmful to organisns

In wastewater treatment, we are culturing the microorganisms to consume all the organic waste and then to pass our effluent to the standard.our problem is that the waste became so smelly ( offensive) that we need to add some deodorizer but dont cost as that much.pls help. thanks

The way to prevent the smell is to kill the microorganisms that make it smell. Of course, that will stop the microorganisms from working on the organic waste.

I%26#039;m thinking that your process is being contaminated with other microorganisms, in which case you need to sterilize incoming wastewater with heat or UV before inoculating it with your microorganism.

Another idea sould be to recirculate the smelly air and extract the methane gas to help power the plant.

Humans generate a lot of the greenhouse gas methane. We need to answer this question.
Reply:Another option is to get the DO up. It sounds like you are allowing the waste to go septic. The DO needs to be kept above 2 mg/L at all times.
