Can I use an alcohol-free deodorizer spray on my ferret??

I got a bottle of deodorizer spray from Wal-Mart called Perfect Scents. It is some herbal blend that is also alcohol free, so it%26#039;s supposed to be safe to use daily on animals. I got it for my chihuahuas to use on them in between baths, but I am getting a ferret in the next few days and I%26#039;m wondering if this product would be safe for her as well. I%26#039;ve tried searching online for this product to see what it says about use on other small animals, but I can%26#039;t find a website for this at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would be careful using that spray on a ferret. Talk to you vet first. Ferrets skin can be sensitive to different things, and I would hate to see you use it and the ferrret react badly.

They do make a deodorizer for ferrets. 8 in 1 makes one that I use on my babies. They also make a shampoo that is nice. It is scented with cucumber mellon. Both also have skin conditioners in them.
Reply:most products have a 1800 number on the label I would call it first. Ferrets have sensitive noses (hence the scent glands), but it may be alright.
Reply:Most pet stores will sell deodorizer sprays that are made just for ferrets. If you are unsure about the product you currently have, I%26#039;d recommend that. I use the Marshall brand deodorizer spray on my ferrets and it works great.
Reply:aviiod the face but yea, use a little
Reply:go ahead, spray the little smelly one
Reply:I would say that ot can. Read the back of the bottle though just to make sure. It should list anytypes of problems and stuff like that on there.
